Summary
Veraxton LLC (“Veraxton,” “we,” or “us”) is a Virginia limited liability company. This policy explains what personal information we collect through veraxton.com (the “site”), how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
This policy covers the site only. Three other documents cover other situations:
“Personal information” means information that identifies you or could reasonably be linked to you, such as your name, email address, phone number, or IP address.
When you use a contact form on the site, we collect:
If you email us, call us, or send us a message on a professional network, we collect what you share in that exchange and the details needed to respond.
Please do not send sensitive personal information through the form or by email, such as Social Security numbers, health information, financial account numbers, or employee records. If we agree to work together, we will set up a private way to share documents.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider’s servers record standard technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you request, the page that referred you, and the date and time of each request. We use this data to operate the site, diagnose problems, measure load, and protect the site from misuse. We do not combine it with the information you give us unless we need to investigate a problem or a threat to the site.
Occasionally we receive personal information about you from someone else: a colleague who refers you to us, a client who names you as a contact, or a professional profile you have made public. We use it only to respond to the referral or to carry out the engagement, and this policy applies to it.
Our public pages do not set cookies, so we do not show a cookie banner. Only the site administrators who sign in to manage the website receive login cookies. Your browser may keep temporary settings for the current tab, including character-display support. These settings support the website’s operation and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. They stay in that tab only and are cleared when you close it.
If we ever add a feature that uses cookies, we will update this policy first, describe the cookie, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
We do not use analytics tools, advertising pixels, social media trackers, session recording, embedded chat tools, or spam protection services on the site today. If we add one, we will name it in this policy and change the date at the top before it goes live.
Because we do not track visitors across websites, there is nothing for a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal to turn off. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, whether or not your browser sends those signals.
We use personal information to:
We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask to join one, and we do not use your information to build advertising profiles.
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, and only for that purpose. Today they are:
Each provider is bound by terms that limit its use of the information to the service it performs for us.
We may also disclose information:
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
When a retention period ends, we delete the information or make it anonymous.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a small professional services firm. They include encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the site, multi-factor sign-in on every account that holds client or visitor information, named accounts with no shared logins, encrypted and managed devices, and access limited to the people who need it. We follow a written incident response plan and will notify you as the law requires if an incident affects your information.
No method of sending or storing information is free of risk, so we cannot promise that information will never be lost, misused, or exposed. If you believe your interaction with us is no longer private, tell us at info@veraxton.com.
The Veraxton client portal is a private space for invited clients, hosted in Microsoft 365. Information in the portal is governed by each client’s engagement agreement, not by this policy. Clients control which of their people have access, and access ends when the engagement closes.
You can ask us to:
How to make a request: email info@veraxton.com or call (703) 594-9947. Tell us what you are asking for and how to reach you. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, usually by replying to the email address we have on file. We respond within 45 days and do not charge for requests. If we cannot honor a request, for example because the law requires us to keep a record, we will tell you why.
Appeals: if you disagree with our decision, reply to our response and say you want to appeal. A founder who was not involved in the first decision will review it and respond within 45 days.
State privacy laws: some states give their residents specific rights, such as access, correction, deletion, portability, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information or use targeted advertising, and we extend the choices above to everyone who contacts us, whether or not a law requires it. You may also use an authorized agent to make a request where the law allows it; we will ask the agent for proof of authority.
The site is operated from the United States and is intended for organizations in the United States. If you visit from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
The site is for businesses and organizations. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
The site may link to websites we do not control, such as professional networks or government resources. This policy does not cover those sites. Read their privacy policies before you share information with them.
We update this policy when our practices change, and we revise the date at the top. We post the new version here before any change applies. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will say so prominently on this page.
