Summary
We advise organizations on AI governance, so we hold our own use of AI to the standard we recommend to clients: governed, documented, and accountable to a named person. AI tools help our professionals work faster on routine tasks. They do not decide, conclude, or sign.
This statement explains where AI fits into our work, where it does not go, and how we protect the information clients and candidates entrust to us.
1. Human judgment and accountability. Every finding, recommendation, report, and decision is made and reviewed by a Veraxton professional, who is accountable for it. AI output is a starting point for a professional, never a result delivered to a client.
2. Transparency. We tell clients when AI tools assist an engagement, and this page is public so that anyone can see our approach.
3. Confidentiality. Client and candidate information is handled only in tools we have approved, under terms that protect it, and never in consumer tools or personal accounts.
4. Fairness. AI is not used to make or recommend decisions about people, including candidates and employees, and it is not used to screen, rank, or score anyone.
5. Proportionate, governed use. We use AI where it adds value to routine work, with written rules, an inventory of tools, and a named owner for each one.
In our own operations, AI tools may help us research and summarize public material, organize information, draft internal working text, check documents for consistency and formatting, and manage internal notes and schedules. The professional who uses the tool reviews and edits the result.
In client engagements, AI is used only where the engagement agreement provides for it, and it works within a defined limit: approved tools may help organize engagement documents and run a first consistency check against our review checklists. That first pass is a starting point for a Veraxton professional. It is not a finding, an opinion, or advice, and it is never delivered to a client as a result. A senior Veraxton professional reviews every output, performs the analysis, and makes every finding.
AI tools at Veraxton do not:
Our engagement agreements disclose when AI-assisted review may be used. Any client may ask us not to use AI tools on its information, or may set limits on how they are used, at any time. We honor those instructions and adjust the engagement plan accordingly.
We keep an inventory of the AI tools we use, what information each one touches, and who owns it, and we review it at least once a year. Our rules are written in our firm policies and follow the structure of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, with reference to ISO/IEC 42001. We expect to pass the same AI governance review we would run for a client.
This website does not use AI chatbots, virtual assistants, or automated decision tools. Contact forms go to people.
We update this statement when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Questions about how AI is used in your engagement go to your Veraxton lead or to info@veraxton.com, (703) 594-9947.
